UCF Signs $125 Million, 13 year Media Rights Deal with PlayFly
UCF use to have a deal with IMG till 2016 (wasn't worth that much), when UCF brought all of those responsibilities in-house but now put out a new package to bid and they will be going with PlayFly.

PlayFly has rights deals with the following: LSU, USC, Virginia, Maryland, Auburn, Michigan State, Georgetown, Florida, Villanova and others. They have also done projects with the Big Ten, Pac-12 and Big East.

East Carolina signed with them a few months ago as well replacing IMG.

I did notice your logo on their page...and I hope this new company does a much better job than IMG. (UCF use to get stuck with "kid" reps who didn't bother to do much ore go out of their way to help the program).

Its generally all sponsorships (team/athletic dept), signage plus game day radio rights too.

Not sure if it covers Tier 3 long-term...as no one knows what will be included in the new Conf Media Rights deal.

From the contract deal...this little "bump" in facility improvements, signage, branding will help...as UCF generally hasn't had many $$ leftover in past years. (Most "investing" went into things to bring in new revenue like adding numerous club areas in the stadium):

During the first three years of the agreement, Playfly has agreed to invest $3.75 million for capital improvements to be made within UCFAA’s competition facilities according to the agenda.

Didn't IMG (I remember "Leerfield IMG College") handle all the radio broadcasts? Is that still a thing?

Similar situation with ECU on the video boards/signage/etc in the stadium. Hoping we get those cool Cree LEDs that can change colors/strobe. Makes for a fun halftime.

UCF ended their relationship with IMG back in 2016 so UCF handled all of their radio broadcasts and kept 100% of the commercial revenue.

IMG did jack squat for UCF...I'm glad former AD Danny White fired them.

Good to see that the deals with PlayFly seem to be favorable vs. in-house, otherwise you guys wouldn't have jumped back in bed with a multimedia partner.

What is this deal in relation to other schools? It seems good but I don't have any context.

not a lot of schools disclose the amount, just from the ones i've seen in a quick google search of multimedia rights partnership + guarantee

Nebraska had agreed to a 12 years 200M deal but it fell apart at the end.

USF has a 10 year one signed in 2017 for $2.9 million per year.

and here is an article about MMR deals.

With the money they will save on the electric bill it should help offset the cost of upgrading them. There awesome things they can do with led lights and save money at the same time.

I like that it ends around when next big shift should happen.
What are others amounts in the AAC/B12?
