World Games Live Feed
Watching the Sumo wrestling matches and it has been interesting to say the least. The Egyptian contestant won his match but demonstrated conduct that was in violation of Sumo wrestling and had his victory taken away from him. Now he has to wrestle the same opponent again.

Ah I was about to start a thread in the AAC forum, something like: UAB people: how are you enjoying the World Games?

If this was in my city and I had the time, I would attend a bunch of stuff. Competitive ballroom dancing? Roller hockey? International flag football?? Sign me up.

I attended the powerlifting competition and it was intense. Good crowd as well. A couple of my friends attended the speed skating at Railroad Park and said it was great.

CBS Sports Network recap of the days events have been great as well. Would have been even better if the network could cover some of the events live.

Looks like a good crowd for breakdancing. I've been impressed by the city's support of the games thus far, all this stuff (except softball) is waaaay off the radar of American sports fans.

Went to breakdancing tonight at Sloss. Both it and Parkour (also at Sloss) were packed & sold out.

It was standing room only at Fistball. Great crowd for US vs. Brazil, unfortunately Brazil looked like they’d been playing together much longer (they won 3 sets to 1).

Inline hockey with a Team USA semifinal looks pretty empty, I thought that would draw a crowd.

Inline hockey on a non-holiday Monday afternoon at the Bill Harris Arena?
I want US to win it all but

It would help if more events were shown on different networks like inline hockey and other sports

Heh, no you're right, unreasonable to expect people to take off from work for roller hockey.

And I don't think any media company wants to spend money broadcasting this event so we are stuck with the in-house Olympic feeds.

One of the things that bugs me about the YouTube feed is not being able to look for specific events. I just found out that if you have Roku you can download the Olympic channel (free) and select and watch the various events that are live.
