Very tough period for a man in a women's environment when even doing everything 100% correct. Male teachers at St. Ursula and ND must walk halls with eyes focused straight forward or up or be scrutinized. I know this first hand. Abuse can be mental or physical so same sex coaching is also tough but maybe it does mitigate some of the problems. Dunno.
UT messed up. Justice delayed is always bad.
Unfortunately Title IX and the process in handing sexual harassment and assault bases are messed up at colleges all over the country

As you can see from this Blade article, the University is still 100% focused on trying to protect itself from any allegation that it mishandled the Brad Evans situation. The University will not admit wrongdoing because it doesn't want to get in trouble for Title IX violations. It's also really sad to see that a player who had the courage to report Evans' abuse was then ostracized by her teammates, who felt that they were "tough enough" to stick it out, and the complainant wasn't. What a toxic culture.
