Schollies reduction - possible. I don't believe Penny would give up the reins, though.

I could see it as a X game suspension for Penny. Certainly looks like he's building in some stability for him being gone for a while.

I think Penny likes a lot of Haith's defensive principals.

A little off topic: I was very impressed with Faragi's defensive philosophy at Whitehaven. I am a little concerned that if Larry Brown leaves, we don't have any offensive-minded coaches on staff.

It's a little too late for a self imposed penalty. The NCAA already has the penalty worked out, we just have to wait now until they drop it. Hardaway is going to be suspended for sure. JMO.

I floated the suggestion a while back that we might go into the season with reduced schollies intentionally, so that we can absorb any scholly reduction penalty (very likely IMO) immediately. We have a veteran, proven team - so it's the perfect time to have a shorter bench with fewer schollies. We also have the ability for Jayden to continue as a WO, if that helps with numbers.

I don’t know, the ‘86-‘87 team was pretty exciting in spite of a post season ban.
