RE: Breaking: Big 12 in Deep Negotiations to add up to 6 Pac teams
I see it as highly unlikely that Oregon and UW will want to come with only AU, ASU, CU and Utah.....I would find it hard to imagine that they will not want at least Cal, Stanford and if they are making that demand their little brother state schools as well
or perhaps they have woken up to the idea that Cal sucks, Stanford tries to be Texas, WSU and Oregon State represent future state legislation that might try and bind them, and the money is better with 6 not all 10.....and that with all 10 they have a chance of the whole conference declining and making them even less attractive to ever make a jump relative to others in the ACC
if so push Colorado out of the life boat ASAP and point them to the SS PAC 5

those are really not great for anyone
in addition to only playing one team from the other division a year IF a conference is still stupid enough to play 9 conference games those alignments drag a lot of Big 12 members to places they do not want to go regularly
I would imagine they would go with 3 pods of 6 possibly no fixed rival and 8 conference games playing 5 from your pod and half of another

Add the 1 left over ACC school plus OSU and WSU for 21. Then 3 others, Memphis, Boise, USF?
B1G: 5 AAU ACC Teams plus ND, Stanford and Cal for 24
SEC: 8 ACC Schools for 24
End result 3 Conferences with 24 teams each.

ALL of this is about TV money and people keep suggesting adding schools like Memphis, Boise and USF and it makes absolutely no sense.

Can we renege on UH and UCF to keep room open for better teams? Bring on the AZs, CU, Utah, UofO and UW.

Better teams? Which team of those other than maybe Oregon has been better than UCF? Certainly not Texas Tech.

Don't let the Tech troll get you irked. Fear makes people say crazy things.

What exactly am I afraid of here, beating yall by 17 points again?
I don't actually have much of a problem with UCF, just feel like if we're adding two commuter schools we should have avoided one in a state the conference already has a dominant presence in for the second one.

UCF hasn’t been a commuter school since like the 80s. We have more on campus students than UF, FSU, or Miami. Educate yourself before you talk about something you don’t know about.

Dude is from freakin Texas Tech...........lol. What have they ever done instead of rolling over grabbing their ankles as saying to Texas and OU "harder, faster?" Have they ever won a BCS or New Year's 6 bowl. I honestly don't know, but when I think of college football "brands" Texas Tech is NOT one of them. Looking forward to UCF stomping that ass on the football field.

There’s this wonderful thing called the internet. Maybe that hasn’t reached Lubbock yet.
