We beat the 5th ranked team Notre Dame on the road 24-13. Everyone knows who’s usually in that 3rd or 4th playoff spot. Those teams have consistently gotten blown out and far worse than UC/Bama.

From the upper echelon of college football I get the sense that most of the elite know UC was right as the 4th team…if not the 3rd. This is just the difference between the national championship contenders and the 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th. best teams almost every year.

Bright future ahead in Cincy. Y’all can discuss such a deal moving forward. If it’s SEC vs. Big 10/ACC/PAC 12 it makes sense and I wanted the Big 12 to buddy up with the SEC as well (scheduling, officiating, etc.) USC and UCLA to Big Ten was huge. IMO, bigger than Oklahoma/Texas to the SEC. At this point in time, I don’t think it matters and the American will be just fine moving forward regardless.

The BIG 12 is going to be 2nd tier football and the AAC will be 3rd tier. That is what is getting ready to become reality. Some fans will deny it, others will grudgingly accept it with some false hope of getting table scraps but many will just tune out. 3rd tier will look like what MAC football looks like now. Zero relevance with small stadiums half full. Would not be shocked to see schools dropping football.
