Colorado/Arizona would rather spend the next 10 years with the Pac-10 schools than the Big 12 schools, all things being equal. If/when UW/UO jump, Colorado/Arizona can too.

The 3 options for the Pac-12 are:
1) Hang tight at 10
2) Add 2 MW schools
3) Add 6 schools, mostly from the Big 12

They’ll pick whichever gives them the most money per school. Whether Big 12 schools would defect is a toss-up on the message board, but I think with a critical mass the Pac could grab them.

They don’t need to make a decision this month. They will wait until at least the Big Ten has announced their new TV deal. It does seem there might be real negotiations with Notre Dame happening which could lead to 1 more Pac-12 school (Washington or Stanford) being added.

Lol, some people have to get hit in the face before they see a clear picture I guess.

It was unlikely the Pac12 could pull Big 12 schools. Now? VERY unlikely any Big 12 school leaves for a decaying west coast based conference, now without the best CA brands, and with 4 of the members are flight risks. Not zero, but very low chance.

We know that at least 1 more Pac12 school is leaving for the BIG. We know 3 more than have decent odds, now, or in the future.

There is little risk for the 4 mountain schools to go to the Big 12. If the BIG stops with Stanford, then they'll be joined by UW and Oregon in the Big 12 on a short Big 12 GOR. The reverse will not happen, as it requires Oregon and UW to sign a long GOR. If Oregon and UW get in the BIG, then the 4 mountain schools are in the spot they'd want to be already.

The Pac12 was in trouble for years, but I am surprised at how savagely the BIG is picking them apart. I kind of feel it is intentional, to get the 4 mountain schools to leave, that way getting the numbers down to only 2 "left behind"

RE: PAC 10 Survival Plan
There are plenty of MWC schools for the PAC to add. The MWC can backfill with the Dakota's. Endless supply of FCS call-ups..
