2024 Elections/Presidential Horse Race Thread
Doesn't really seem to go in the "Mid-term Elections" Thread...and it's basically starting anyway...or really started with the Stolen election of 2020...

A Bone for the Dems below, but first, the R side:

Trump is rolling in all the GOP polls for being elected a Third Time,

with DeSantis a distant 2nd

and Pence a half-life joke of a candidate.

On the Dems side, you have Dear Leader, but he is Constitutionally barred from running anything more than a puppet regime, which he has been doing pretty good job of using to quickly run the country into the ground in record time.

Sippy Cup can't/won't run.

Camela is a complete and very sad joke.

HiLiary publicly said she won't run again recently, but you can't ever trust her because lying is just who she is and what she does.

Yet there IS one Democratic candidate who has been staying in the news here and there and carefully lining positions up to take advantage of the disarray in the Donkey party. She would make a formidable opponent in a Presidential election, and the timing seems like it might go the way of...So here's a bone thrown to you Dems, here's a real candidate that has a chance from your side:

Dems today might take some small comfort that, despite their Party's heavily communistic leanings these days, they in fact DO have ONE relatively electable person waiting in the wings to run for their Party's Presidential Nomination...when they're ready after all their sky-screaming and far-left hundred-gender, racial-dividing, and economic suiciding has run its course a bit more. Of course, they couldn't say she'll be the first woman to perhaps become President, because they can't define what a woman is anymore. Nevertheless, Demokkkrats, here's your best hope by far in 2024. I'd get on it if I were y'all...

Quote: .@TulsiGabbard: "A lot of women fought very, very hard to put Title IX in place, which is why it's so disturbing to see the Biden Administration and other very influential people in our society so easily pushing to not only get rid of that progress but essentially erase women." pic.twitter.com/72viW4l6jC

Not anymore. I'd bet my bottom dollar that DeSantis will be the nominee in 2024. He's like Trump without the constant investigations

I think wolf has a point regarding the bolded.

I think this is one of the reasons - perhaps the main reason - for the Jan. 6 committee - to either keep Trump from running or to provide fodder against him if he does run.

I wonder if this may not backfire on the Dems. Let's say it is successful in keeping Trump from running. Then in 2024, it would be a weak candidate (Biden or Harris) VS. a fresh(er) face without so much baggage - say a DeSantis or a Scott or a Haley.

Especially if the economy continues to flail. Blaming it on the Russians is already getting old even to Democrats. Without the Trump name to pull antiTrump voters out of the woodworks, they may have to resort to other means or issues.

Trump/Biden even

I think there is a good chance neither
Trump nor Biden is on the 2024 ticket.

RE: 2024 Presidential Horse Race Thread
When do you all expect the drumbeat to start up from the Democrats to ditch Biden?

Problem is that the Democrats dont want to have a rallying point to coalesce around as a primary challenger that will cause a lot of internal bleeding. Think Ted Kennedy in 1980, or Pat Robertson in 1984. To achieve the removal, Democrats will have to hobble and usurp the king prior to the primaries, and get blood in the water. Probably starting sooner than later.

I see a three part movement.

Press will start up on a 'Opinion that Biden Didnt Do Enough' and indirect attacks on the administration.

https://www.politico.com/newsletters/wes...t-00043125
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/...ar-AAZ33Ly

Next will be party insiders dumping on Biden.

David Axelrod on: “There is this sense that things are kind of out of control and he’s not in command.”

Third will be a drumbeat of polling news, watch them pick up in tempo and intensity.

Weirdly, One upside to the Jan 6 Commission is that I hope this helps the Republicans do the very same thing to Trump.

Jan-June 2023. It won't start before the midterms.

Unclear if you mean 25th him or just refuse to re-nominate him.

Latter in the mild manner; former in the more aggressive.

I repeat, if I were in Congress and a vote came up either to impeach or 25th Amendment Biden, and he was crawling around on the floor drooling on my shoes, there is no way that I would vote to make Kamala the **** president. And I sure as hell would not do anything to bring Moochie closer to the white house.

Of course, though, the question is what are the Democrats going to do.

I said long ago the plan would be to to 25th him after the midterms, so they can run a black female incumbent in 2024. Kamala's ineptitude and inability to forge a public persona hampers this.

Plan B would be to talk Joe out of running again. Although Harris would still be a front runner, it opens up the nomination to others. Maybe they can talk both of them out of running.

I would not vote to impeach Biden either. If fact I hope he runs again.

In response to nicknames in a couple of different posts (which I consider a bit childish for this board, but JMO)-

Who is Sippy Cup?
Who is Moochie?

I surmised Carmela is Kamala, but that's because I'm very intuitive 03-wink.

The nickname I use sometimes which I think is self-explanatory as well as descriptive, is President NotMyFault. To be absolutely clear, I mean Biden. We used to have a Democratic President with a sign on his desk that said "The Buck stops here." Alas, no more. The buck stops anywhere but the Oval Office.

I don't understand Moochie either. I got the rest of 'em.

Seriously?

Steve Mariucci? That doesn't make much sense.

Anthony Scaramucci? Makes a little more sense than #1, but still..

Moochie Norris? I liked him during his stint with the Rockets

That one was always particularly shocking to me.

Like Michelle Obama was particularly fat?

I'd like to see all those guys calling her Moochelle compare their BMIs (and those of their spouses!) to hers.

I think you have Moochie and Munchie confused.

I don't call her Moochelle, never have, but my GFs BMI would be considerably below hers. I guess you are assuming right wingers like fat girls? Or is it just Rice guys?

But Moochie, I took to be a version of somebody who mooched off of others. Could be Hillary, I guess. Or Hunter.

Mooch definition
