RE: Memphis +16 vs Miss State.....
That makes no sense! Anyway, CRS and his new offensive and defensive assistants have several new tricks and schemes up their sleeve for the game! Ms State will not be able to use film from last year because of the new assistants and for sure we will not be playing that horrible 3 4 defense.

Our new Defensive coach Matt Barnes is going to be a Major upgrade from Coach Mac!!

If you were to ask me today, I would take the points for the Bulldogs. This will be Hennigan's first game in a loud environment. Two new coordinators on both sides of the ball. Offensive line may be at questioned to start (they did lose a four year starter in Parham), there are still question marks at the receiver core. Somebody will have to step and be the #1 receiver.
Factor that with them losing JJ Russell on defense, who racked up 100+ tackles last year.

As weird as this sounds, I don't think this team will be ready to play in Starkville.

Hate to say it, but I agree.

And, IMO, at RB

Damn, I thought this was a site for Tiger FANS

THE bulldogs lost a lot from last year

The Tigers played THIRTY EIGHT ((38!!!!!!!!) freshmen last year and I certainly didn’t see a talent disparity last year as we led the entire game

This is always a close game and will be this year; reminder: Seth was All American QB last year with 3,300 yard 25 TDS and 8!picks

They were beating us 17-7 at at the half last year.

Its been close maybe two times in the last 20 times we've played them.

They threw for over 400 yards against us and outgained us by over 200 yards of total offense with twice as many first downs.

The game turned on a fluke return and we still only won by 2 at home.

What game did you watch?

RE: Memphis +16 vs Miss State.....
We have had nearly 10 seasons with strong QB play and at least a few big time playmakers on offense, from Anthony Miller, Darrell Henderson and Tony Pollard to Kenny Gainwell, Antonio Gibson and Calvin Austin.

My concern is that the well is running dry on that front unless someone new emerges this season.

We ran thr best defense to beat them last year. It wasnt for shite against anyone else but it works against misstake. Hopefully we run it one more game. We need defense

Garshk, I suppose they should go back to the record books and give the official W to State! You eat a lot of paint chips as a kid? Or maybe grew up under a power line?

My thoughts are real simple.
Ryan Silverfield and Staff are not Mike Norvell and staff, and the trends that this program have shown since they took over are a concern.
Look, we went 6-6 last year, and I don't have a lot of confidence that this year will be much of an improvement.
I'll withhold judgment until I see the product on the field for a few games.
I been watching Tiger football since I held my daddy's hand walking into Crump Stadium so I have been through the ups and downs of this program. I been there...done that...don't want another t-shirt.

Anybody that thinks MState has forgotten about last year, and does not come out an wax our ass in the firs half is just in denial.

And anybody that thinks this coach and team has the strength to run over MState is just in denial.

I'll sit back and watch what happens and I will either say, well, that's about what I expected, or I'll say, well, that's a nice surprise. I ain't gonna lose a seconds sleep over how we do this year...

If we jump on them early. Score a few times and get in their head. Take the crowd out of it. If the defense has been coached correctly to contain the msstate offense. A few breaks go our way its possible to outscore them

Otherwise they beat the ever livin dog shite out of us

Ive been watching since tthe 70's. I foresee terrible trouble

Garshk, I suppose they should go back to the record books and give the official W to State! You eat a lot of paint chips as a kid? Or maybe grew up under a power line?

Have a little compassion. The win was heartbreaking for him; it killed him.

Starkville has a Sonic if you wanna meet after the game. How big an ole boy are you?

My concern is that the well is running dry on that front unless someone new emerges this season.

Yep!

RE: Memphis +16 vs Miss State.....
Most everyone here WANTS the Tigers to win, and they could - but there are a lot of smart guys in Vegas that have set the 16 point line.

If the Tigers go to Starkville and win it'll be a massive upset.

It's not a fair fight and hasn't been for a very long time.
