Will we see a B12/SEC scheduling alliance?
I still haven't figured out if the ACC/B10/Pac12 alliance was anything more than window dressing. But if it was an attempt to snub the SEC and it comes to fruition for pre-conference games, I could then see some football scheduling alliance developed between the B12 and Southeastern.
Even if it's not the top tier of the SEC, would we welcome pre-conference home/home series with schools such as Missouri, South Carolina, or Mississippi State, more than say lower tier B10 teams Illinois, Rutgers, or IU? There is a precedent on the basketball side with the B12/SEC Challenge and I believe the B12 would be wise to cozy up to the SEC as much as possible in the near term.
Thoughts?

Maybe, but B12 leftovers may still a bit salty about plucking the 2 best teams
From their line up.
They have to get a someone to lead the conference AND negotiate OUT and a TV deal.

I think the Alliance is a thing only if it works to the benefit of the B10. We might see a few matchups out of it, but it is not going to be as widespread (particularly for FB) as initially advertised.
In the same vein, the SEC still has a number of head to head matchups with the ACC (Georgia/GT, UK/UL, Clemson/SC, FSU/Miami/FL, etc.). For that reason, I don't see a scheduling alliance going forward. That being said, I won't be surprised to see SOME long term series out of it (Oklahoma/OK State, Texas/Baylor/Texas Tech/TCU).
It looks like the BXII is going to go with 9 conference games and three OOC games. Two of our games every year will be penciled in as FCS, Miami U. This leave one slot going forward, and I imagine we will use that for a revolving P5 opponent- whomever we can get.

I think anyway you can tie yourself to the SEC and ESPN you do it.

Two most valuable schools, no doubt. But the two best teams? Texas? Hardly.

2 biggest brands, not 2 best teams.

The B1G's "alliance" was first and foremost a statement by the B1G, the PAC and the academic schools in the ACC that they wouldn't stand by and let the SEC and their masters at ESPN remake college football to their liking.

The alliance probably killed playoff expansion.

If ESPN tells a B1G/PAC/ACC "alliance" team they're considering having them play an upper level SEC team in an early season featured prime time match up, they'll drop out of that alliance quicker than you can say Nick Saban.

No question, it delayed it for sure. I think fan interest (translated $ for the TV folks) will still drive us to an expanded playoff. Would the SEC prefer to have two of four teams in the CFP as it did last year or have four of eight/six of twelve?
Even four of twelve would marginalize every other conference in terms of both perception and representation. Using the 2021 B10 as an example, Michigan joined UC in being dominated by an SEC opponent. It's hard to imagine a third or fourth place B10 team would have fared any better.
Conference "pride" may be a barrier to expansion but eventually the added revenue stream is too much to ignore.
