If I had got the money I would have took it and like you put it to good use on my sons. No probably in my disabled grandson's account. After working hard for 30+ years as I said before I got very lucky with the chance I took along with my brother. So I haven't received one dollar from the government....
but just because I got lucky in the choices I made I grew up and still associate with a lot of families that needed every penny they got from the government. Working families struggling so inflations my ass is hitting them harder than middle America. So I seriously doubt if that section of Americans are going to just go out and buy more gas. So I dont blame anyone for keeping the money. But there's a lot of people that had their hands out and now complaining about the poor working Americans maybe getting a few hundred dollars in relief money.
A lot of these same people would gladly give ukraine another 100 billion and not blink an eye. Skink, I know you are not in that group.

That's my #1 problem with republicans they do the same thing those on the left do. Both love to look at their live and judge other based on them not hurting at the point where bills are not being paid.
There's a middle point this country needs to grow to and get away from its my way or no way. The left looks at those in better shape than them and believe they should have part of it.
But one thing both will do is have that hand out and take the money without a second thought. Yes even those complaining day after day. Here's a question I would love someone that complains about the poor or working America...

unless you are over $150,000 as a couple those child tax credits is going to eat away at what you pay. Family with 3 kids has a deduction of $20,150. Which drops you down to $129,850.
On 83,550 12% = $10,026 in taxes owed and 22% on $46,300 or $10,186 for a total of $20,212 in total taxes or 13%. But you also get $7500 to $9,000 in child tax credit along with another $1500 for the 3 dependents . So a middle is $8,250 + the $1,500 or a total of $9,750
Tax bill of $20,150 and credits (basic credits) $9,750 or a total tax bill of $10,400 or 6.9% of your $150,000
Now lets do that for a married couple without children who's making $12 an hour each or a total income of $49,920 their tax bill with deduction for 2 people 18,650. Which leaves $31,270 and a tax bill of $3,752 or 7.5%
Now add in the stimulus checks for that family of 5 and they are in the same boat of those they love to complain about....
taking a lot more from the government than they paid in. All the while trying their best to not up their work load because they are afraid the boss might see...that person can get twice as much work done if they didnt use so much of the work day/week advoiding it. That is your average republican complains all day about someone working at $12 an hour not doing their job and not worth it.
It seems to me one of the biggest problems in this country are taking 3x the money and doing less work. Before anyone says "I get all my work completed". I bet not one of you have the balls to go up to your boss and say, Sr, it only takes me half a day to get my assigned work completed. So the rest of the day I'm doing none work related things.
I fully understand the same thing goes on at the lower end also. But I doubt its anywhere close to what I've noticed on boards like this one and others. But I hardly ever see the low end complaining. But those looking down are the first to point out how America really doesnt need this or that and blame those at the lowest end of the ladder
Now I will get off my soapbox but till this country understands....to get to the middle, you need to give somethings up. You are not going to agree with a president trying to do just that. Like I said Bill Clinton and Donald Trump both tried their best to govern towards a middle. And what was best for working America. Yes including those making a really good living.
