If Texas A&M does leave for the SEC, the most likely destination for them is the Pac-12. Kansas would be the best bet as their partner. The SEC would easily tap Oklahoma State as Texas A&M's replacement.

The last place A&M would go is the Pac 12. They are just throwing a hissy fit.

I hope TAMU helps bring Florida State and Clemson aboard. If ESPN balks, continue the saber rattling until ESPN caves. I have no sympathy for that network.

The problem is the ACC won't agree to a 2-for-1. There's going to have to be a comparable value for one of Clemson or Florida State. Kentucky brings them more basketball gravitas but there's the issue of isolation for TAMU.

I suggest a 4-for-4 trade:

To the ACC - Texas A&M, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss

To the SEC - Miami, Florida State, Clemson, NC State

SEC doesn't lose a private school for accounting purposes. ACC could bring in UCF or USF. In exchange for losing the monopoly in NC the ACC gains valuable territory in the Central Time Zone and Kentucky. Vanderbilt gets to play with peers at Tobacco Road and bring Ole Miss along.

TAMU-ND may become an annual game or a game every two years.

LOL!! What I said flew right over your head. I wasn't talking about trading A&M to the ACC at all, but rather using A&M to force ESPN's hand in allowing the SEC invite Florida State and Clemson. (I think JR caught my drift, but not sure.) Let's see how the Mouse deals with angry customers.

In other words, being typical Aggies.

As they said when they joined the SEC, they wanted to expose Aggie culture to the rest of the country. They are being successful.
