I'll be alright.

As long as you can keep ammo stocked.

Heck, racoons come from all over to eat the cat food I put out for my cats.

I don't know that that's the sporting way to hunt racoons, but during a famine I think sportsmanship probably goes out the window. 03-wink

Usually with dogs... Preferably I'd prefer the coons that's been eating corn over trash or cat food 03-lmfao

lol... cat food, dog food, cereal, potato chips, etc. All comes from the same machines.

Send me a Video of you shooting a squirrel with a bow. Believe me, I’d be impressed! I am a squirrel hunter.

One of my cats, a male, is a heckuva squirrel hunter. When I'm working on the pool I watch him crouch and stalk.

When he grabs one I'll just grab it from him. He's easier for me to catch than a squirrel would be.

squirrel < cat < human

New Years Day 1970, I'm ten years old. My mother has a date from NYC.
My grandmother (who grew up in the depression) is cooking coon stew (she even brushed it's teeth). Dude says to Granny, what are you cooking?
She replies "coon", he says "as in racoon"? Best I remember, I think he took mom out to lunch and Granny and I ate the stew.

I took 36 Cornish cross meat chickens to butcher today.

8 weeks from hatching to butcher and they were massive. The Eric Cartman of birds.

$1.50 per bird shipped, feed and then $5 each to process. Not much $ involved overall. Had to buy a second chest freezer for the 200+ lbs of meat I just laid up today, however. It's the best you've ever tasted, too.

Between egg layers, meat chickens, deer and fish, I couldn't even venture a guess as to what meat goes for on store shelves right now.

If allowed where you live, get some birds. Even if it's not allowed, you do you. Take control of your own supply chain.
