Hopefully there will be no mishaps, but if there is then there should be time to make repairs.

I don’t see how you can maintain an attractive field turf for football when you also host events like monster trucks. If these types of events are being allowed, then maybe it is time for the university to consider building their own stadium.
Good idea. First time hearing about a OCS

Would they be able to serve beer?

Finally, something worth talking about.

I know they know what they're doing, but I do hate a brand new field will get broken in this way. If you look at this twitter account, some of the fields they do look incredible, especially some of the college baseball fields. I used to wonder why the baseball Tigers wanted to replace their beautiful natural grass field with synturf but after seeing some of those fields on the Super Regionals last weekend, I understand.

I thought it was due to AC/DC "For those about to rock" tour.

All related to maintenance/replacement costs.

Just a reminder as to why this event is being held at the Simmons Liberty Bowl Stadium. There is no longer a motorsports facility around to host it.

Last year such an event in August would've been held at Memphis international raceway, but that venue is no longer in operation.

I personally asked members of this board to join in the campaign to convince the zoning commission to not change the property from entertainment to industrial.

But many looked down your nose at the request.

Now you must live with sharing the Simmons Liberty Bowl Stadium with non football events.

I have a feeling that this will not be the last such event to be held there.

Local sports car club already used the parking area for events.

Remember the old parable "they came for my neighbor, but I remained silent because it wasn't my battle. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak up".

When was the last time LBMS held an event that was not a football game or graduation?

And I don't mean a beer garden or food truck festival or anything like that. I mean sporting or music.

Good question. When was just the last concert held INSIDE the stadium?
They say the tunnels to the field won't support the big shows any longer, and that the renovation will resolve this.

Who knew we had that power?
So when none of us go to the event, will they stop having that at LBMS?
Move it to Missippy.
