Just barely by about 15 minutes.

Every time I look at that map I get happy all over again.

Better travel.
Better TV.
Better competition.
More household names.

Same. I'm happy to get ODU, JMU, and Georgia State twice each.

This off season has felt like an absolute eternity.

Gonna try to make it to the JMU game. I already have my tickets for the home games. I'd really like to go to Georgia Southern. I haven't been there since the last time we played them.

So we know if there will be travel partners for basketball? If so, would we be partnered with App or JMU?

I haven't heard anything regarding travel partners.

I looked at it and the only way it really works is if CCU is an island. ODU is closer to JMU than anyone. We are closer to App than any other pair. GaSo and GaSt are close enough. But if we did that it would just be for west games coming east and there are so few I don't think it matters. Only 6 games total for each team will be cross division and they won't be necessarily scheduled in away pairs to make travel partners work. All east division games are so close it won't be necessary for east teams to need them, either. We probably only need to even charter GaSo at about a nine hour drive. The rest are under 7 hours easy.

Are you talking every sport but FB and BB? We pretty much flew everywhere in FB except WKU, didn't we? I thought we took a short hop charter to Norfolk...Murfreesboro, and Charlotte even though we could have bussed.

It almost seems like its more worth it to get the players back faster than a long and drawn out bus ride?

Basketball will bus to most of the division games, I'm betting. Coming up with charter money has been one of Dan's biggest complaints/excuses. I know we would fly to Charlotte and then bus to ODU from there, in CUSA. But we had cheap easy commercial fight to Charlotte. One of the reason's we are here is cheap travel. It's a bus league within the division. Even if we do charter everywhere the Sunbelt doesn't seem to use travel partners for anything. I wish they would as much as possible. We have a lot of paired up schools in this league.

Dumb question... will all of the flight cancellations and pilot shortages effect charter flights? This football season could be a mess if it does.
