Anyone else watch the nba playoffs and think this is horrible basketball? It has become a game of no defense and three point shots.

The league is appropriately named, the No Basketball Association. Gave up on that mess 20 years ago.

Apropos of nothing; but there’s really nothing going on so I will post it here anyway: my wife and I enjoyed Adam Sandler’s latest: “Hustle”.

Neither of us has watched a second of NBA for the past decade, so all the player cameos meant nothing to us. But it was well done.

I prefer college basketball, but the NBA is a vastly superior brand of basketball. Its completely false that they don't play defense, they just have extremely good offensive basketball players that make shots.

They shoot a lot of 3 pointers because its how you win.

Most of what you say is true but there are many examples of really poor defense. Especially in the regular season, and mostly due to lack of effort. I don't think Harden will win any defensive awards.

That is true, I thought he was referring to the post season. There are certainly times in the regular season that defense is optional. But for the most part, when they want to lock down, they can.

I would take the NBA playoffs and the league's style of play 100 out of 100 times over this schools' output the last 3 years. No 3s, undersized defenders and basic movement on offense. Its glorified HS ball and far away from aesthetically pleasing at minimum and farther away from winning basketball in 2022
