Did SLU pick someone up that was a big get? Why are they so highly regarded preseason? We just got done beating them last season and we got better in the off season.

They'd lost their best player to injury and got him back. Also they signed Jack Kramer's kid who we recruited hard (his HS coach was Erwin Claggett, so I'm not sure what chance we had).

Okay that makes more sense then, they are getting some real hype it seems. Hate we didn’t have a comeback game in Bartow this season

I expect things to be disjointed early, probably costing us a game. I expect at least one of the new players to develop a case of leprosy and disappear from the sideline at some point in the year. I expect players to be pissed about playing time for that angst to disrupt team cohesion.
If any or all of the above don’t happen, then that’s just sauce for the goose. I expect us to be a force in March regardless.
It's hard to see how playing time won't be an issue for some of these guys, but that sort of worked itself out last year. The one thing about Kennedy is I don't believe he'll sugar coat anything. He could sell Gaines on 30 minutes a game playing with Jelly, and that's not a lie. The rest of the guys he sold on something else I'm sure. The depth on this team is incredible on paper. If we can keep everybody healthy and happy we have a real chance to do something special this year.

I think PT will definitely be an issue for some of the big men - who will be the odd man out? Gordon, Davis, or T. Brewer? You know Jemison and Buffen will get their minutes..
Hopefully there would be enough minutes to go around for the guards/small forwards at the 1-3 spots. I would expect Jelly, Gaines, L. Brewer, Lovan, and Toney to get most of the minutes at the 1-3 spots.
I don't expect Bertram or Butta to get much PT at all.
