Visiting MAC stadiums
My grandson was on twitter and said something that the cow pasture to the south of Toledo really is a cow pasture. He’s been catching a few unhappy comments about it. I’m guessing from bgSUCKS fans.

So I need to ask, of all the stadiums in the MAC how do you rate them. I haven’t been to all of them but I like Ball State in Muncie.

Following stadiums I have been to Yeager (Miami), EMU, BGSU, CMU, Kent State, and Ohio. Of those I rate Miami, CMU, and Ohio as the best in that order. I hate that grey field at EMU, sucks.

Noticed former UT''s President Gaber's new University just announced a $100 million sports growth plan that included doubling the size of the FB stadium.

15,000 to 30,000. Average home attendance last season - 13K.

Thought Gaber was going to be really good, but turned out to be a dud.

I'm sure attendance will improve with the move to the AAC. ECU will be a regular on the schedule with 30,000 seats it will
be more attractive venue to Duke, Wake Forest, etc.

Been to most of them, including Marshall, minus Buffalo, NIU and Akron. For me it all boils down to atmosphere which includes attendance. Not sure how you rate Miami high when they have poor attendance. Marshall has facility and attendance.

Our 10-year campus plan was also announced under her watch at UT...and I don't believe I've seen a speck of that plan come to fruition yet. In fact our campus has subtracted since then (parking garages torn down), rather than develop any new buildings, facilities, etc.

RE: Visiting MAC stadiums
From the stadiums I've actually been to:

1) Ohio - Scenery and the Marching 110 take the cake for me
2) WMU
3) CMU
4) EMU - so much potential here if they could just fill it up with fans and take the damn tarps off
5) NIU
6) Ball St
7) BGSU

The one's I've yet to visit based on pictures in order...Akron, Miami, Buffalo, Kent

I just like Yeager field, coming to and getting a good seat. I know the kids don't support their team unless its nationally televised and UC is in town.

Waldo is my favorite pair of nostolgic and unique. Akrons is the newest and has the nicest presstower. I havent been to Miami... kinda surprised so many of you have been there. It sure hasnt been in the last decade. Yaeger does look better now with the endzone facility. The rest arent worth even ranking. Muncie is Cute. Ypsi does have potential. CMU and Ohio have the most consistent crowds above 15,000.

This would be my vote in order as well. I could be flexible on 5 vs 6.

Never liked WMU's stadium. Dinky press box. End zone seats not connected like a bowl. Ohio has this half-level up seating that curves near the end-zone. Makes no sense.
