Biden* the Angry: NY Mag Puff Piece Inadvertently Reveals He's Actually Pretty Nasty
Quote:New York Magazine’s “Intelligencer” feature ran a fawning portrayal of President Joe Biden Friday, which mostly focused on his ice cream habits, cute text arguments with wife Jill, and his aching desire to be home in Delaware.
The tone of the article was mostly, “what a nice older gentleman, aren’t his foibles endearing,” but several details describe someone who doesn’t sound all that decent. For starters, he makes Vice President Kamala Harris sit through self-congratulating slide shows.
As little sympathy as I have for the quote-challenged VP, I have to admit this sounds like Chinese water torture:
Once a week, Biden eats lunch with Harris, following a pattern he established when he was vice-president to Barack Obama. The White House photo office pulls together a slideshow of images from their recent travel and events that the two watch on a monitor as they eat, allowing them to reflect on their week.
The author also notes that the once-weekly lunches have become notably less frequent. The question is whether Kamala finds excuses not to attend because she can’t bear the thought of another slide show or whether Biden has trimmed back the schedule because even he doesn’t understand what she’s saying half the time.
The article goes on to describe how Biden “eats like a child,” hides a TV in the Oval Office, and can’t tell you whether he has a Peloton because it’s a security risk. All pretty humdrum stuff.
But it takes on a slightly more ominous tone when describing how the president treats the staff. In short: not well.
In May 2021, the New York Times reported that Biden has a “short fuse and an obsession with details,” when it comes to policy issues, and can take “days or weeks to make up his mind as he examines and second-guesses himself and others.” This process involves snapping at advisers:
Before making up his mind, the president demands hours of detail-laden debate from scores of policy experts, taking everyone around him on what some in the West Wing refer to as his Socratic “journey” before arriving at a conclusion.
Those trips are often difficult for his advisers, who are peppered with sometimes obscure questions. Avoiding Mr. Biden’s ire during one of his decision-making seminars means not only going beyond the vague talking points that he will reject, but also steering clear of responses laced with acronyms or too much policy minutiae, which will prompt an outburst of frustration, often laced with profanity.
He often hangs up on people, she notes. ”Let’s talk plain English here,” the normally fawning writer is forced to admit, “he will often snap.” She could have said he’s often a jerk.
The piece also discusses Biden’s feelings of discomfort in the White House and his desire to spend more time in Delaware. Again she is pulled out of puff-piece mode because she’s forced to admit that he usually is in Delaware—and spends more time on vacation than any other modern president (as we’ve reported).
The obvious question is, if you didn’t want to be in the White House, why did you run for the job? And why are you running again?
Although the reporter here valiantly tries to go along with the narrative that Joey is your nice old grandpa who loves ice cream, she inadvertently reveals what we all know: that he’s an irritable, cruel boss who often treats the press and his subordinates like garbage. I thought his September 2022 “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” speech was one of the angriest, most vitriolic addresses by a U.S. president in our nation’s history, and his refusal to even recognize his granddaughter Navy Joan Roberts is morally incomprehensible.
People on the left need to take off their rose-colored glass and stop pretending we have Mr. Rogers as president—when what we have is a short-tempered, grumpy old man.

Gloves Off: Report Accuses Joe Biden of Borderline Abusive Behavior and Beyond, Reignites Questions About 2024
Quote:Alright, I think I’m convinced that there’s something afoot, and a new article from Axios is cementing my perception. In the piece, which is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster given the predictable attempt to soften what was reported, Joe Biden is described as borderline abusive, and in some of the interactions described, it’s fair to ask if he even crosses that line.
Far from the decent, loving human being that the press has long tried to paint Biden as, he’s revealed to be a vulgar, angry man with no sense of boundaries. Boundaries, I might add, that most people would get fired or sued for crossing in the real world.

Let’s dive into some of the accusations.
In public, President Biden likes to whisper to make a point. In private, he’s prone to yelling.
• Behind closed doors, Biden has such a quick-trigger temper that some aides try to avoid meeting alone with him. Some take a colleague, almost as a shield against a solo blast.
• The president’s admonitions include: “God dammit, how the f**k don’t you know this?!,” “Don’t f**king bullsh*t me!” and “Get the f**k out of here!” — according to current and former Biden aides who have witnessed and been on the receiving end of such outbursts.
Why it matters: The private eruptions paint a more complicated picture of Biden as a manager and president than his carefully cultivated image as a kindly uncle who loves Aviator sunglasses and ice cream.
What a detestable way to act as the President of the United States. In fact, things are so bad with Biden’s treatment of his staff that some have taken to what appears to be Stockholm Syndrome, assuring themselves that his obscenity-filled rants are actually a sign of respect.
In any other scenario, having a boss who shows “respect” by cursing out employees would be considered emotionally abusive. That’s probably because it is emotionally abusive by the common definition. It’s sociopathic behavior that shouldn’t be excused in any setting, much less in a professional environment like the White House.
Unfortunately, while the Axios article does a good job exposing Biden’s deplorable behavior, it also gives voice to a lot of bad-faith actors (mostly former Biden staffers) trying to spin his unstableness as a strength. According to them, he abuses his staff because he just cares so darn much.
“If there is something that’s not in the brief, he’s going to find it,” he said. “It’s not to embarrass people, it’s because he wants to get to the right decision. Most people who have worked for him like the fact that he challenges them and gets them to a better decision.”
I wasn’t aware that the only way to find out more information during a briefing is to scream curse words at one’s staffers. The more you know, I guess. The abused parties have even come up with a name for the treatment they endure. It’s called learning to “speak Biden.”
“Speaking Biden” is a particular skill, they said. It can take years to learn to navigate his moodiness, and anticipate what information he’s going to ask for in a briefing.
The spate of recent reports from the mainstream press attacking Biden has led to renewed speculation about 2024. Is there a concerted effort to force him onto the sideline? That seems probable given not only the failures of his administration but also the president’s ability to showcase to the world his mental failings. On that note, I’d mention that an inability to control one’s temper, resulting in vulgar outbursts, is a common symptom of Alzheimer’s disease.
With that said, the article points to Biden’s behavior being unacceptable even when he was a senator. One former aide described him as an “egomaniacal autocrat” who ruled his staff through fear.
Jeff Connaughton, a former Biden campaign and Senate aide who was chief of staff to Kaufman when he filled Biden’s seat in the Senate, wrote about Biden’s temper in his 2012 book on Washington corruption, “The Payoff: Why Wall Street Wins.”
• Connaughton wrote that as a senator, Biden was an “egomaniacal autocrat … determined to manage his staff through fear.”
• He told of a time during the 2008 presidential campaign when a 23-year-old fundraising staffer got into the car with Biden.
• “Okay, senator, time to do some fundraising calls,” the aide said. Biden responded by looking at him and snapping: “Get the f**k out of the car.”
Still, while the portrait of Biden being decent and caring has always been false, his advanced age and mental decline may be further agitating what was already present. I’d already posit that he’s impossible to control as things stand, and his handlers can only gloss over so many public fumbles and outbursts.
I’ll end by noting the hypocrisy here. Accusations of Donald Trump having a temper (and if he did this kind of stuff to his staff, that’s bad as well) were treated by the press as “terrifying” and disqualifying. On the other hand, while Axios deserves credit for writing its report, the outlet undercuts its own work by having Biden loyalists explain how being abused is actually a good thing. That would never have been printed if a Republican were involved.
Joe Biden — who has been on vacation for 40% of his presidency — lounges on beach amid multiple scandals
Quote:President Biden was spotted on Saturday enjoying a beach vacation in the midst of his family's many scandals, which has people questioning the president's excessive vacation days.
On Saturday, video emerged of a shirtless Joe Biden relaxing on the shores of Rehoboth Beach while he vacations at his Delaware beach house with family.
According to RNC Research, Joe Biden has spent 353 days, or 39.2 percent, of his presidency on vacation. Saturday's vacation comes while the Biden family are under multiple federal investigations, including Joe and Hunter Biden's alleged illegal foreign business dealings with China and Ukraine. Also, Cocaine was recently found in the White House, leading to further speculation.
President Biden fled the Oval Office shortly after his administration announced that the United States will be supplying Ukraine with cluster bombs to support their ongoing war with Russia.
The Biden beach video sparked criticism across social media which resulted in pundits and commentators expressing their views on Biden's excessive vacation time.
"Pale, shriveled, shirtless Joe Biden fumbling around on the beach before being escorted back to the nursing home is a fitting snapshot of an America in Decline. We are judged by the strength and fitness of our leaders. What does this say to the world?" Benny Johnson said on Twitter.
"The most powerful man in the world. After sending cluster bombs to Ukraine, President Biden enjoys a day at the beach. Thankfully, there were no reports of cocaine found after he departed," another wrote.
Another account pointed out the lack of interest that beachgoers took in the President being at the beach.
"81 million votes and not a single person cares that Biden is at the beach. Biden so far spent almost 40% of his presidency on vacations," they said.
Biden is set to leave the beach on Sunday morning and will jet out to London, England to partake in meetings with King Charles and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak "to further strengthen the close relationship between our nations," the White House said in a statement.
Following Biden's stop in London, the president will head to Lithuania, and Finland. While in Helsinki, Biden will attend the US Nordic Leaders Summit, the White House said.
