Exclamation Home Games
Which home game are you most excited for?

For me it is WKU by a long shot (homecoming too). TN St is second because they will travel well and will make for a good environment. I’m also hoping they bring their band.

I concur. Having had two brothers-in-law who played for Western in the late 60's early 70's; I consider the 100 miles of Hate to be the Most significant rivalry game for MT.
Given our history with TSU, the Tigers are a close Second.

RE: Home Games
Tough choice.

The home opener vs UNT is big because we should have a good crowd and a win can set the tone for the season.

The annual rivalry game vs NMSU is always a big deal locally. A must win for a successful season.

But the number one game for me is the Boise State game. A UTEP win would set the fanbase on fire.

Definitely looking forward to that game as well. Really enjoyed my trip to Bowling Green a couple years ago… other than how the game ended. Look forward to making that trip again.

As for home games, definitely UTSA. Still bitter about that game last year.

Not a home game but the game I'm looking forward to the most is RICE. In a way it's like a home game for me. I've already requested the Friday after the game off. Sad to know it's the last time UTEP will play a conference game in Houston.

SHSU is only 70 miles away. I'm sure they can claim the Houston market.

The UTEP vs SHSU games will produce a rivalry that will require the use of NRG stadium in no time! 03-thumbsup

I have family in the Galveston area. I'm actually here right now. I googled the SHSU stadium and it's about 2hrs away. Not quite the same as RICE or Houston which are about a 35-40 minute drive.

Yeah gonna have to make the best out of the situation.

For UTSA, it’s gotta be Houston. Not only is it the season opener, but Houston will likely be ranked. Great chance to get our first win over a ranked opponent and start off another great season!

SFA is our home opener and only home game until October. Stupid scheduling has us playing 3 of 4 OOCs on the road. Anxious to see how our new coach works out.

It'll definitely be a tough start for a first year head coach.

As for the home game I'm most excited for? I guess SFA to see how our new coach does at his first home game against an FCS opponent. There's no home game that really sticks out for me. Maybe UAB since that would be a matchup of one of the best teams usually but I don't think we'll be that good this year. Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong.

RE: Home Games
I usually get the most excited for the home openers. This year that is SMU. Our excitement level as a crowd will probably depend on how the game in El Paso goes the week before.
