Ryan might need to step up the pace a bit or his seat might begin to get a little warmer.
Ill be surprised of they win 4 games.
Seven? No damn way
Winning only 4 would mean that the wheels have fallen off and the wagon is on fire. I don't think Silverfield could survive that. Here is the way I see it:
At Miss St - Loss
Most people seem to think the Tigers will lose this one. At a SEC school and they might want revenge for last years Fluke/Heads-Up play win
At Navy - Toss up
Navy doesn't have much of an offense but it remains to be seen if we have much of a Defense. Either way it's at Annapolis.
If the Tigers have survived opening with two on the road and are 2-0 or 1-1 then they should be favored against Art St.
Arkansas St - Toss Up
The only thing I know about Ark St is that we should win but they are maybe due. One of their guys keeps coming on the board every year telling everyone how great they are and saying we will struggle to stay n the field with them.
N Texas - Toss Up
I know less about N Texas than I do about ARk ST. So theres that. But - its at home and we should do ok....right?
Temple - Tiger Win
We keep thinking we should win and they keep beating us. Perhaps this is the year we break the Temple curse.
Houston - Toss Up
Cougars are all pumped about Moving On Up and joining the Big 12 middle class.
AT ECU - Loss
Why? Dunno - I'm just making this up as I go along
At Tulane - Tigers Win
Tulane is actually coming along with a decent coach. But - they will only have 63 fans in attendance, including staff and player families.
UCF - Loss
I have always thought it best that you schedule a patsy for Homecoming. They are all puffed up about the Big 12 and have all those speedy Florida athletes.
Tulsa - Win
We should be able to beat a university with only a couple of dozen students on our home field. Shouldn't we?
North Alabama - Tiger Win
Hard to see us losing to a directional school even if they are from Alabama.
AT SMU - Tiger Loss
If the season is going better than most think then the Tigers could conceivably win this one. On a good day with the wind at their back. I just don't think so.
So overall I see:
Best Case: 8-4
Worst Case: 4-8
Most Likely: Something In-Between
As a die hard Tiger fan for over 50 years I am hoping that RS has learned some lessons - that the new coordinators have 'IT" - that a speedy, elusive RB rises to the top; that a couple of the WR guys will prove to have been Austins in waiting - that injuries are rare - that our turnover margin is the best in the land - and get all the breaks and win 10.
