Soccer is young but has shown signs of getting better beat a good WMU on the road. Also they have 2 very good recruits coming in next year on a team that has soon real competitiveness.

How long has volleyball been disappointing? I remember how the previous long time coach got removed by Heather but her replacement is even worse. Glad to see soccer is on an upward trend. That coach has been here forever.

Ah, a kernel of truth: Remove a coach and the new coach will be better, worse or about the same.

Two of the three options aren't appealing.

Talking about EMU VB and Nebraska FB as examples.
Heather hired a good volleyball coach. It took a few years but they won the MAC and made the NCAAs. She then left to be an assistant at MSU.

Soccer needs new leadership.

The problem with VB is that elevating the assistant from that NCAA team hasn't worked out, at all.

Soccer needs better funding Scott is a very good MAC coach. A lot Better than average in my opinion. We've had a lot injuries in the past do to bad field conditions. Let's see how it with our new field.07-coffee3

I met Scott in person once and my impression is he is a solid person and dedicated to the program. Those are wonderful things. But then again so is winning.

I've long been okay with letting an incumbent coach get a full year of experience with whatever is new to see if they can perform at the expected level. If they can't perform with the "new", then say thank you and see ya later. With our new field situation I'd be okay with another season before calling for anyones job.

I’m very surprised that is the case. I would have thought ADA compliance would be an obvious given at this point.

Of course, you and I realize that this now the law and EMU would not be allowed to do anything different. We, however, think clearly and rationally. Someone else is apparently drinking something that alters their perception of reality. 07-coffee307-coffee307-coffee307-coffee307-coffee3

The field is looking good. It's drains really well. First lacrosse game is on January 28th exhibition game. First D1 regular season game is on the February 16th.
