Foul Special (chicken or duck w/taters/greens) = 1,599 pennies
It is always funny to see the personal standard that posters hold themselves to, while holding the coaching staff and players to incredibly high standards.
You seem like the type of guy that has no tolerance for anything below the best for others, and thinks that it is reasonable to pay $23 for a porterhouse. We have other posters who feel entitled to a $400 million OCS, but still think that they should pay $5 for tickets.
Hilarious.

Yeah... Cal's Championship Steakhouse, I think. I think it was on the ground floor of a Raddison. I ate there, and ordered a steak shaped like half of a basketball. It was OK, but overpriced.
may have been, but it's now the Hilton Doubletree. Either way, outside of Claw's price point range.
Yeah, I may be remembering the hotel wrong. It was quite a few years ago. I actually found the menu, and the prices weren't as bad as I remembered. Of course, $30 back then was more like $100 now.

I thought it was next to the Kroger (then Schucks?) and Home Depot off Poplar on Truse Parkway....??

It was at the bottom of the Doubletree behind the Paradiso, which is also behind the Kroger on Mendenhall.

in my little town growing up
there was a grocery store, where miss claire would make
you a sandwich, a thick slice of rag bologna , slice of hoop cheese,
with mayo on white bread, a sandwich when you bit into it,
it stuck to the roof of your mouth, good times and memories
(with a yahoo and pork rinds)
Though I like mine with a little mustard, HOF sandwich. Comfort food classic. I know of a couple of local places where I can still get one. And thanks to you, I need one right now.

Being such an old city, we have a few places like that here. Bologna, Polish sausage, ham, smoked meat, amazing stuff. Wilensky's is 90 years old and mustard is compulsory on all their sandwiches.

Gotcha. On the north side of Poplar. And I guess I didn't realize there are 2 Kroger so close together. Solid location aside from competing with Folks Folly.
Hopefully Penny's place does well.

Yeah, it's now an Erling Jensen Small Bites. Pretty damn good food and very nicely appointed.
Went last week. Food was good. Atmosphere was terrible.
It also has a couple of Top Golf simulators.

Someone recommended the Emoni Bates thick cut porkchop, found it to be over-hyped and a bit disappointing.
