NBR but I pondered this same question yesterday when I read an article on South Alabama's 247 site (Jags Jungle). I have often been envious of the content pushed out on their site and hopeful we can experience something similar in the future.

I seem to recall HCBC indicating some guys were coming in this summer...

I haven't seen any evidence of it on social media yet, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I heard all basketball players will be here starting with summer school.

I thought I had seen something on Twitter from Coach Clark that we were having a prospect tryout camp for those in the transfer portal (or perhaps juco players?), and I thought it was today. Anybody know anything about it? Did it happen? Anyone we might be interested in?

Two transfers that attended today’s camp include Shatarius Williams 6’3” 187 WR (Alabama) & Trenton Lee 6’2” 210 S (Concord University)

We lost a DE to Miami where he has an NIL deal even though he is expected to be a bench contributor at best for them. Highly rated edge rusher NIL deals start at around $1,000,000, and even 3* star defensive linemen recruits are getting upwards of 500k.

It is a very bad year to try and get an edge rusher to transfer when all you are offering is a scholarship and a season spent playing in a zombie conference.

I saw a social media post of the basketball team in the new practice facility. It looked like they were playing pick up. I spotted most of the newcomers. The only one I couldn’t see was Gaines.

But then, jelly posted something later on about “it’s time,” or something like that, and tagged Gaines. I figure he will be on campus soon, if not already.

It will not… being very selective on the last scholarship… it also might not be used for this year and possibly held until next year… mid year transfer, etc..
