Most likely some more low D1 hustle guys. Gonna be rough.

The same limitations that could prevent him from being drafted this year, will still be there next year. His short comings are not mechanical, they are physical.

If they were mechanical he could work and improve his weak spots. But no amount of practice will eliminate his physical short comings. In fact with each passing year those physical limitations become more severe.

I agree. He's not at that level, in my opinion. Still, I love the kid and selfishly wanted him to remain a Tiger. Either way, best wishes to LQ. Thanks for three exciting years in Memphis!!

The current roster is a cluster. I think Coach Hardaway maybe counting his chickens before they hatch. Wonder how he got Kendrick Davis to commit with an unstable roster.

I agree

Maybe he didn’t think anther good college year would change that so might as well get into the system now

DWash made a similar mistake but did make money playing basketball

But with NIL and the ability to be a four year legacy player on an era where that is so rare AND a chance to play himself into the 2023 draft with more certainly this seems off

Maybe he was given a promise by a team that he will be picked, I hope so. He is a great kid and that would be so good for him. But the chance of being un drafted just seems so high

Not being selfish here as Duren had to go pro etc.

Will Barton improved himself playing an extra year of college. But Adonis Thomas really didn’t. Who knows. Will miss him

Disagree that this team won’t be good though. Lester was a big piece but there are god players here. Need Lomax to stay. He won’t start but would be invaluable as a 6th man.

RE: Lester Q lighting it up in workouts
if lester is not drafted

he still has the option to come back to memphis to play college ball

(new ncaa rules adopted a few years ago, "certified agents")

if he didn't participate in the NBA Combine, which he didn't, this rule does not apply to him.

Doesn't sound like he will get drafted. Maybe he just is tired of school and wants to make a living somehow.

Maybe a team has told him they want him and will sign him after is goes undrafted.
