CUSA files against Hattiesburg Publishing a petition to prevent disclosure of records
C-USA files against Hattiesburg Publishing a petition to prevent disclosure of records regarding USM leaving conference

" “If the confidential information contained in the Confidential Settlement Agreement were to be disclosed, it could negatively impact C-USA’s ability to retain its current members through the next academic terms and to recruit and obtain new ones."

It's a hot mess. We got out just in time. 03-nutkick I wonder what the bad news is? I mean holly crap... what is the bombshell they don't want to let out? I wonder what the Presidents of the new schools think of this?

I have to believe they will demand to know. Who makes a statement like that? Might as well have just let the information out. No way they aren't forced to tell them, now. You can't tell someone you have a secret and then not tell them what it is. The world doesn't work that way.

There goes Jacksonville State's chance at the big leagues. C-USA will never allow a program that broke their bylaws to sully the good name of the conference. Conference bylaws are sacrosanct.

I think the schools can be foia'd to turn over their records, but the conferences don't receive federal monies and can't be compelled to produce them. I imagine that applies to information a school may have ABOUT a private entity conference.
