Norvell was a better coach with better players.

No difference between the teams WITH Alexander, Gray, Vaughn, Wiseman, Gainwell, Coxie, White, Henderson, and without them. It is the coach's fault. The coach created covid, created the injuries. It's the same team, no excuses. 11-2 at home sucks.

Comparing a returning veteran in Brady White to a 1st year transfer in Grant Gunnell is not an apples to apples comparison.

The apples to apples comparison is that Silverfield has had horrible luck with injuries/departures/covid and Norvell had great luck.

The point is, we were one injury away at quarterback to possibly being 7-5 instead of 12-2. The same thing holds true if we lose players the caliber of Gainwell and Coxie. None of that happened to Norvell. We averaged 48 points per game leading up to the bowl game, and then scored 20 because Henderson didn't play.

Well, the program desperately needs for his luck to improve this year.

he also wasn't afraid to go to big plays. Someone mentioned it earlier that Silverfield doesn't necessarily want a bigger job, so he's going more for job security while Fuente/Norvell were throwing the kitchen sink at opposing teams to get noticed. They got noticed and we won. Was a win/win. They had better players, and the transfer portal was different the too, which helped keep players at one program for an extended period of time.

Rhett Lashlee is a better coach than Ruin, with zero head coaching experience, and at least brings a pulse to the stadium with his offense (i.e. Norvell). Mike Houston out coached him on our home field last year.

Ruin has 3 regular season wins, in 2 years, against teams that were above .500, by a combined total of 6 points.

Zero excuses this year, horrid out of conference home schedule, he should be able keep the same low energy and sleepwalk to 6 wins. If our recruiting classes are as strong as the rankings intend, then anything less than 8-9 wins is a huge letdown and time to cut bait.

My prediction - let's mark the calendar for the pivotal bowl eligibility game against the mighty North Alabama Lions on November 19th, o/u 10,000 fans in the crowd that game while Ruin tanks the program?

Hope I'm wrong and we get close or into double digit wins, not much faith in his leadership until proven otherwise.

Ahhhh, memories. We sure did have the pivotal "bowl eligibility" game in 2022 against UNA, such a sad state for our football program with Ruin. Join the Revolution! Lifetime contract now LOL!
