Well that answers whether the incoming members are invited. I’d think the AAC6 would be there as well though probably don’t have a lot of say.

NMSU and SHSU were not invited to the WAC Spring meetings.

See BeatWestern!’s post above. He nailed it with saying all 2023 members and the AAC6 would be present in Destin.

Just my opinion, but I don’t expect the AAC6 to be hostile to the C-USA membership. Maybe we might even see some out of conference announcements from this for 2023 and beyond. I expect that Rice will find C-USA teams are attractive future opponents, especially Louisiana Tech, UTEP, and Sam Houston State.

Have confirmed Hugh Freeze from Liberty is 100% at the CUSA meetings. Not sure about the AD Ian McCaw or Head basketball coach Ritchie McKay, but I would guess they are there too.

Why? Why are you here and why are you commenting on a CUSA meeting? Not getting enough attention on slumbelt board?

Sorry, but this guy seems to a Tx Tech fan, and regardless, he does not post on the ‘slum belt’ board.
He has mostly been a very pro CUSA poster,

TroyTBoy is a borderline troll and very good at their work. The poster is never a full troll but they know how to make posts that are just sensible enough to pass as legitimate threads but trollish enough to stir the pot and cause lots of discourse. Many of TroyTBoy's posts recently have concerned CUSA but that's just recently. They switch their profile picture up quite a bit so I don't think they're a Texas Tech fan either. I'll admit, I enjoy some of the antics.
The rule:
If you are pro CUSA its trolling or borderline trolling. If you are pro SBC it the gospel and definitely not trolling.

I don't post on that board. If I comment on that conference its usually here or the Conference Realignment board.

My opinion has never wavered. The Belch has gotten too fat all of a sudden, when their strength during the Covid years was their smaller size.

I think ODU, USM, and Marshall are going to cannibalize the Top 25 appearances that Coastal and App got.

OTOH I predict that CUSA will perform better than many think because it's not weighted down with 5 more teams.

For some reason that angers some people.

Kinda does. I mean you're pro CUSA and trying to troll but still here so there's that.

All the SBC really did was tighten their geography and limited the trips against the opposite division. It's now essentially just two smaller leagues under one umbrella.

You can certainly argue a tougher division beating itself up. That's a worthy argument.

Didn’t you also wax poetic about the genius of Aresco’s adds and the positives of growing that conference to 14?

I personally dont care but it is kind of odd for those who are not in CUSA or this meeting doesnt concern their school...

posting in a topic about CUSA Spring Meetings. Why would any of you feel that need to post in this topic? If someone from CUSA said something that got into your feelings. So what, hold the impulse to respond back and go on your way. We dont always have to comment on EVERY LITTLE THING. If you do feel like you have to one up them...go start a thread on the SBC boards complaining about CUSA Spring Meetings. It doesnt matter if you are playing nice or being a mean girl...

sometimes its just not your place to say what you want when in some else's home.

Well honestly I wouldn't had said anything here but I get tired of some of the silliness. If you notice I really haven't posted in many threads here. I read this to see what the scoop was. Just because we're done in a month, doesn't mean I don't care or I'm not curious. I probably wouldn't had piped in had it not been a future member showing his ignorance or even a current one doing the same.

But I get it. I'm out.

Well the thread was started by a Central Michigan fan, which was odd. Then TBoy, who has no known affiliation made a pretty innocuous comment. Kinda odd. Then a soon to be AAC member told him to go back to the Sun Belt board which is odd because he’s definitely not a Sun Belt fan. Then a Sun Belt member alerted him that TBoy was not a Sun Belt fan so the soon to be AAC fan apologized because despite not being a fan of a CUSA school he’s not a Sun Belt fan so it’s OK. Odd? Then there were some CUSA (both future and current) fans and some SB (both future and current) fans that started throwing poo at each other and 2-5 posts on topic. Overall not odd unfortunately. We’re still in transition so it’s to be expected somewhat. I’ve mainly avoided threads related to the future of CUSA whether next season or long term. I’m only interested enough in the CUSA spring meetings enough to open the thread but I’m still here, if an FAU or JSU fan doesn’t like it then that’s their problem. I doubt I’ll have much to say regarding any of any news coming out of the meetings and if I do I’ll likely do it on the SB board as you say.
