After I saw that on my timeline last night I got curious so I looked up his stats for the season. He was a very mediocre pitcher (which may actually be kind) until the last week and a half of the regular season and B1G tournament. K's went way up compared to what he had done all season. Now we know why.

Ultimately it played little to no outcome in the game against Iowa. He hit the first batter he saw and then got checked and ejected on the second. The Hawkeyes only scored one run. Unless the rest of the team was using and didn't get caught...

Weiss's suspension is four games, so that covered the B1G Championship game and now three regional games.
