Great idea about Ealey and Long. While most think of Ealey and the 35-0 teams, Long anchored the defense and was a 2x first team All-American including being a consensus pick in 1971 (I believe the only one ever in the MAC). Plus he was a Toledo City League player.

to be fair to UT News they only produce online news stories twice a week during summer-not daily like in Fall and Spring, so plenty of UT events stories appear weeks later
