I did a quick search and the article I read said that they have a tremendous lack of depth and Moll’s decommitment really hurts (even after the 2 new commitments)

I’m guessing he wants to be the man and they just want him for depth

I find it hard to believe that after he got on the field for them he'd be relegated to depth.

I hope he lands somewhere decent.

Technically hasn't gotten on the field for us, which is what makes it easy for him to find a new home. If he had actually enrolled here, he would've needed to re-enter the portal in order to meet the May 1 transfer portal deadline to still be eligible for the 2022 season.

We definitely need depth. But word is that he potentially would have been a strong rotation player and not starter, once we got Jennings. He's also had his eyes on playing for a P5. We'll be P5 in 23 but not for his last year of eligibility in 22. I've been hearing it'll be a PAC 12 school for Moll.

He played. Made a tackle and they mentioned transferred from UAB.

How much do you think his experience in portal might have affected UAB decisions this year to not enter?

He had a hard time in the portal, but I think he and RaJae' Johnson are the only two that actually played big roles on their new teams.
RaJae was Troy's top receiver and Moll got significant playing time and big tackles at Washington.

Can't think of any other transfer that had meaningful playing time.

I never had an issue with them leaving, they had already played their full careers here and earned degrees and only had extra because of the covid exemption. Same for Moultrie and Stanley, who didn’t get all that much PT at Miami. Still don’t blame Stanley, he honestly probably played more at Miami than he would have here. Moultrie is the only one who I feel like made a mistake in terms of football - assuming healthy he would have been 1st team all conference here and possibly invited to the Senior Bowl. Hope he got decent NIL money.
