And we have Andre Ware, Antoine Smith, Hakeem, Clyde, Elvin, Phi Slama Jama, the Game of the Century, 95-21, 100-6, etc... in the nation's most diverse and fourth largest city

So UCSB and UH can't be chums?
BTW, we hosted Phi Slamma Jamma in '83-'84. Olajuwon had 35 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks. And was ejected near the end of the game.

I remember the CUSA championship game in 1996. Southern Miss at Houston, and Antoine Smith ran for 200 yards. We lost in OT, and were so disgusted we drove straight home after the game. A miserable 8 hour drive back to Mississippi. That was a classic game in the early days of CUSA. Great memories.

Christaphobe?
Saying that everything that's happened at Liberty is purely how Christianity is supposed to operate is a bit much. A lot has happened there that's dreadful, and it has nothing to do with religion. Calling someone "Christaphobe" or "anti-christianity" because they don't like the actions of people who claim to be christian but are actually pretty terrible doesn't help anything. Note that this statement of mine isn't about practicing christians, it's very specifically about Falwell and people who were going along with him.
Although I'm guessing this thread will end up closed soon based on the whole "stop making threads that target specific schools" thing.
