Duh. You play, you get paid. You don't, you won't. The SEC and ACC both earned more and the PAC 12 and Big 10 got scalded! The B12 took a slighter hit.

Quote:The ACC was boosted by the second year of the ACC Network, the ESPN channel that launched in 2019 and was closer to full distribution in 2020-21 than it had been during its debut year. The conference reported $397,411,225 in television revenue for this fiscal year, up 20 percent from last year.

RE: Despite Pandemic, Record Revenue
Interesting nugget .....

2019-20 PAC Revenue: $533.8 million
2019-20 ACC Revenue: $497.2 million

ACC was $36 million behind the PAC

But ...

2020-21 PAC Revenue: $344 million
2020-21 ACC Revenue: $578.3 million

ACC was $138 million ahead of the PAC.

That's quite the tumble for the PAC, and quite the resurrection for the ACC.

The PAC messed-up handling the pandemic. They didn’t get their act together until after mid season. Also, conference revenue figures from the PAC are always odd because they are 100% owners of their network…therefore, their statements show Network revenues at gross (while B1G, SEC and ACC only show distributed profits from their networks as revenues).

Quote:Where the Pac-12 network lacks is in distribution. That’s a real problem for us. And I want to set our fans’ expectations. I’ve read the contracts. If there was a way to fix that in the next three years, I’d fix it. I don’t see an immediate fix to the distribution problem in the next three years.

The ACC took some risk by playing almost full season and got rewarded nicely.

Can't wait to see what full distribution of the ACC Network brings in.

If the ACC keeps creating revenue at 16% per year that would leave the league 778M or 54M per team in 2023.
