UConn & UNCW
NU has a big week on the baseball diamond this week as they visit #13 UConn before coming home to host UNCW this weekend.
Obviously, a win at UConn would be a boost to NU's confidence like they had after sweeping NC State. The UNCW series is huge, as a series win would give them tiebreakers over both UNCW and Hofstra heading into the final weekend.
Tonight's game at UConn is at 6pm.

RE: UConn & UNCW
NU, UNCW, and Charleston had quality midweek wins Tuesday.
UNCW beat cross-state rival NC State 13-11 in Wilmington while Charleston beat cross-state rival Clemson 7-5 in Columbia, SC.
The CAA is now ranked 13th best conference, a few percentage points behind the Big East.

Solid win. We have potential, this season still feels like a let down.
The CAA Tournament anything can happen. If we continue to play well we'll be a contender. (Obviously we still have work to qualify, but JMU being out certainly helps that) Charleston will be the favorite but it's baseball, the most random of our sports.

RE: UConn & UNCW
NU couldn't maintain the momentum from Tuesday as they were swept at home by UNCW to fall to 26-25-1 on the season.
NU has now fallen to 6th place, 2 1/2 games ahead of Delaware for the last tournament spot. NU visits UD next weekend and needs to win just one game to clinch a tourney spot.
Friday, NU lost 9-2, as UNCW broke open a 3-2 game with 3 runs in the 8th and 9th innings.

In the 9th, Jordy Allard gave up a two-out 2-run homer to give UNCW the lead and the win.
