Well, well---it's certainly early and next year's NFL mock drafts are out and Will Levis, the Kentucky QB is definitely top ten material and I have seen him touted as the #1 overall pick in the draft.
Pretty much a repeat of Josh Allen's stock when we went to Wyoming a handful of years back for a night and a half that turned into the wee hours of the morning.....

Should be a very harsh test for the defense.
And our offense will be a very harsh test for theirs!
Kentucky’s top WR and DE went in the 2nd round and a few OL went later so they have some turnover but this definitely isn’t your dad’s Kentucky football.
Lions draftee DE Paschal had the best NIL commercial last year for a dentist office
Their O-Line will have a lot of newcomers this year. They will be ranked when we play them. Yes, definitely not your Dad's Kentucky Wildcat Football Team.
Kentucky is losing a lot of starters. Just on offense: Both WRs, TE, LT,C,RG, AND RT. No receiver left on roster had over 14 catches last season.(they did pick up a couple of big time prospects in transfer portal at wr. DL also)
On Defense: CB, DE,NG,DT, FS and Sam Biker
I’m sure they have plenty of depth but hopefully we catch them before the new starters gel

The Paschal bit is hilarious! It looks like he and everyone involved with it had a blast. Good for KY's QB Levis, too. This is what the NIL was intended to be--compensation to a player for the use of name and image by businesses, their schools, etc. Not all this BS with collectives, rich alums/boosters, and university NIL departments luring kids to a program with big paydays. That's free agency in the pro sports world. Unless the NCAA can get control of this, in short order the competitive landscape will be completely destroyed and the FBS football conferences will be more screwed than they already are. I understand that their aren't too many pediatric dentists in DeKalb/Sycamore willing to throw that kind of money into producing a video of that caliber and paying Rocky Lombardi for his name and image in the starring role, but at least NIU athletics would have more of a chance in that arena than hoping for a collective to pop up and lavish $ on recruits.
Stewart Mandel’s college football early Top 25: Post-spring edition

QB Will Levis was a top-five pick in Dane Brugler’s early 2023 mock draft. He’ll miss star WR Wan’Dale Robinson, but Virginia Tech transfer Tayvion Robinson fit in nicely. The offensive line has questions. Kentucky’s defense, led by LBs J.J. Weaver and DeAndre Square, should be strong up front. Mark Stoops recently brought in transfers Keidron Smith (Ole Miss) and Zion Childress (Texas State) to shore up the secondary.
I have two kids at UK. Their football team is for real and so is this QB. They are no longer just a basketball school. That being said, we play them on their family weekend this fall. I can't wait to go. GO HUSKIES!
