ASHOF
This weekend, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame had a ceremony to induct new members. It made me wonder how many former UAB greats are represented in the ASHOF. The answer is three that I found (it is possible I missed someone https://www.ashof.org/honorees/ashof-inductees/ ): Gene Bartow and Oliver Robinson for basketball; Vonetta Flowers for Olympic bobsled.
A few former Blazers who came to mind that should be no-brainers for induction are:
Wanda Hightower
Bryan Thomas
Roddy White
Why aren't these deserving people in the Hall of Fame?
A few other possibles (some Blazers by association):
Steve Mitchell
Wayne Martin
Gary Sanders
Bill Clark
You can probably think of more.

RE: ASHOF
Casey Dunn perhaps mainly for his Samford days
Football should be Roddy White and Bill Clark down the line

Any resident of Alabama may submit a nomination form:

Thanks. Actually thought of Harry Walker but then forgot by the time I typed the post. Walker is a little different in that he is in the Hall of Fame for his accomplishments before his time at UAB.
