Given that he's one of the best players in the league, it would be nice if the nation could hear him say he's from UC. I'd venture to say that 90% of the viewing audience doesn't know where he went to college.

When he says "Cleveland Heights, Ohio" I just wonder how many ignoramouses out there just assume he went to O$U.

Nobody but a very small handful of us cares where he says he's from in a 2 second segment. BFD.

Is it really that big a deal. Some players just want to be different. If all of the other players had chosen to go with their HS teams, he would gone with UC. He probably reads this board and gets a big laugh from the people who are but hurt when he doesn't mention UC in his intro.

He's done uc celebrations when he scores touchdowns. He wears uc gear all the damn time. This is one of the stupidest complaints of all time. Don't be small.

I'd also just note, the guy was in Cincinnati for 4 years (one of which he spent suspended for taking the fall for someone else) and was in Cleveland Heights for 18 years. He deserves to recognize both...I don't see doss getting mad that Pat O'Donnell, who was starting here for 4 years and graduated with a degree, saying he is a University of Miami guy for playing one season there. Would he be upset that Ivan Pace doesn't call out Miami of Ohio if he makes it in the pros?

It would be nice for kids in Jr High and HS who look at NFL players admiringly and look at the era that TK was at UC as prehistoric times to RELATE one of their superstars to UC. Then, next time we're on national TV and the future Sauce Gardner is watching it they may think to themselves HEY, THIS IS TRAVIS KELCE'S school. If this was cool enough for HIM, it can be cool enough for ME.

I was simply saying he more than makes up for repping his hometown in one space. To him, it is probably more important to show the people of the Heights (not a good area by any means) that you can make it and that it isn't a big deal at all.

Looks like Mike Boone May get his starting shot. Javonte Williams is out for the year after tearing his ACL/MCL and his backup, Melvin Gordon III is in the doghouse for fumbles. Hope he takes advantage and shows what he can do.
