Probably kinda obvious by now but I just saw on twitter that Cole Galant's mother confirmed he's coming back this season.

I wonder if he will be captain?

Good to have him back.

I can’t believe we haven’t heard an announcement on captains and seen a roster update yet. I wonder if something changed in the process after who we chose as a captain last year.

Getting summer updates like that has always been a slow process going all the way back to Bill Wilkinson.

Also it looks like Adam bodnar, current hockey media guy, got promoted to like director of communications so his position is currently open, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Looks like he will be moving to football.

In the past, Captains are announced in April for the following year. The only reason I can think of why this hasn't happened is there might be a player or two who might not be returning. It's possible a decision is pending the completion of a NHL developmental camp..

Also in the past, incoming Freshman (now called "First Year" to be politically correct) where not announced until the last week of August, right before school is to start.
