The extra $5 million will not close the Gap but it would definitely help the ACC to take/stay in #3 spot.
The ACC is never third in that chart.
I expect that the ACC will take the #3 spot AND stay there.
So, given the fact that the ACC paid out an average of $38.6 million for fiscal year 2020-21, should we assume a modest $2M bump for 2021-22 ($40.6M), then go up from there? Following the same trajectory, but a more accurate starting point, yields these numbers:
2022: $40.8M
2023: $46.2M
2024: $47.8M
2025: $49.5M
2026: $58.5M
2027: $60.6M
2028: $62.8M
2029: $65.2M
Of course, that assumes the band stays together - but point is, I don't think the situation is nearly as dire as most people claim.
