Kyle, the same dude that has zero journalistic chops and retweets news form others and call it a source? Kyle that slobbers all over NMSU and cow tows to their fans on twitter, while trying to hide his UVU fandom as well as a light bar on a lifted pickup truck? That Kyle McDonald?

Just listened. Mostly basketball oriented, didn’t say much. Kyle insinuated that Chicago State left on their own accord. That is baloney. No school would leave a conference without securing another conference first.
Then Kyle brought up Northern Arizona as a possible expansion candidate, LMAO! They are not leaving the Big Sky for a football “unstable” WAC. Pure DavidSt garbage of just looking at a map and saying, “they should go here”. Not happening.

Yup, he has retweeted 7 tweets about Aimaq going to Texas Tech after his initial tweet and still has a Aimaq tweet pinned at the top of his WAC Digest.
BTW, Kyle doesn't slobber all over NMSU. He has to appease the NMSU followers when he has audacity to rank NMSU 9th in his preseason rankings despite NMSU never finishing lower than third in conference, after its' inaugural first season in the WAC. And that is with four prior first-year coaches leading the Aggies in the WAC... Theus... Menzies... Weir... Jans... Heiar.

He's been around since Menzie's was HC, but you missed the point PitolPete was making.

Yup, I'm fully aware that Kyle's investment in the WAC doesn't exceed past UVU's admittance into the conference. But I have noticed he tends to put too much value in the strength of WAC schools who joined the conference at the same time as UVU; forgetting that NMSU actually competed in a much stronger version of the WAC in the years earlier and more than held its own. NMSU has maintaining the program in the top tier of the WAC for many years now. Granted, NMSU had a coaching change and has had wholesale changes to its roster, but he fails to understand that NMSU hires its basketball coaches from a better pool of candidates than the typical WAC school. And, that new head coach will be recruiting players from typically a higher (Heiar) talent pool than most WAC schools. NMSU might have a drop in strength going into the 2022-23 season, but I doubt it will finish 9th in the conference... unless Moccia miscalculated badly with his coaching hire (Heiar). My statement might sound arrogant, but the proof is in the pudding... and in NMSU's basketball history/tradition.

Kyle does a great job. All of this criticism is unwarranted. Thanks for posting this WACfan86.

Picking NMSU to finish 9th in basketball is pretty ridiculous. So is saying Northern Arizona could be a WAC expansion candidate is worse.

From an informational aspect, Kyle has done a good job covering the WAC. A one-stop shop for WAC sports. However, some of the conclusion he derives as a prognosticator sometimes has little to be desired... and it will get some push back when it seems off base. But I do appreciate the effort he puts into his website/twitter site.

Until a professional wants to cover the WAC with true insider info the WAC and its fans are stuck with a fan podcast as it's main source of news...

No one is required to read his site. Simply disregard if he isn’t good enough for you. Obviously, we as a conference aren’t good enough for anyone else to bother to cover.
