Jacksonville Lacrosse
Jacksonville's Men's Lacrosse just won the Southern Conference for the 1st time. JU is currently ranked #6 (Nike/USA poll) & 8th in two other polls in D1. The women are currently ranked 22nd and just won the ASUN title again. Seeding for the NCAA tournament will be determined by the conference tournaments yet to be played.

Next year JU Men will join the ASUN.

Why did JU Men’s Lacrosse remain in the SoCon after the ASUN reinstated the sport?

JU Men (14-3) lost to #2 seed Richmond (11-3) 10-9 in the SoCon final. JU beat the Spiders 13-11 in the regular season. We will see if 7th ranked JU can get an at large bid to the tournament.

The women won their 8th ASUN tournament championship in Jacksonville defeating Liberty.

JU WLAX going to Gainesville to play Stanford.

The Men didn't get invited despite being #9 in the country prior to their SoCon final loss to Richmond. Disappointing.

I looked the night of playoff selection and was surprised JU was skipped over. Is that the norm in lacrosse? A Top 10 team being left out of the field?

There are only 18 teams invited. Obviously, some of those are conference champions. Schools like Duke were left out too. But when you see 6 of 7 of the IVY League schools invited it just seems kinda weird.

Mindy McCord is a Rockstar. She will build the USF program into a power, and soon.
