Michigan ATH Commits to CMU
Athlete Mekhi Jenkins (5-9, 185, 4.45) of Royal Oak (Mich.) High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan this afternoon, via Twitter.

A class of 2023 recruit, Jenkins was offered a scholarship by the Chippewas on June 7, 2021, and visited CMU on April 9.

He also reports recruiting interest from Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan and Army West Point.

247 lists him as a RB. Hope he bulks up if he wants to play RB. Not many 5-9 185 rbs in FBS level football. Or at least not many that don’t get their bell rung at that size.

Or maybe they have plans to switch him to a K. Pimpleton role and have him return kicks and punts at some point?

I think you're right. I think Pimpleton proved to McElwain that size can be overcome with speed and other intangibles.

I would say that Kalil Pimpleton is an excellent comparison.
