Savannah State transfer SO Einaj Carter is a 5-8 160 RB. Also saw where we are adding a transfer from Eastern Michigan - QB Baron May (6-0 197 FR)

Thanks. Do you think these players will be able to contribute much this year?

Looks like lateral moves at best. Thought the Transfer Portal was supposed to be giving us some Power Five transfers.

RE: Transfers
Not every transfer is going to be from a power 5. Andy Boykin transferred in from Arkansas

Rosters aren't updated online so we won't know for sure until the fall

You know how players who fell through the cracks and became FCS impact players transfer to P5s? Same concept applies to D2 -> FCS. Besides, P5 players are hardly a slam dunk when they transfer down. Remember Jamal Couch?

Carter was a pretty versatile wing back at Savannah State: he was their leading receiver in catches, yards, and TDs in addition to his rushing output. Granted, that's an option team, but he could add some versatility to the backfield. May was a fairly decorated high school player and a 3-star prospect coming out, but his recruitment was pretty quiet. Infer from that what you will.

Looks like college football and basketball (throw in all college sports) are headed in the MLB direction, that’s being discussed on here. The current minor league classification system divides leagues into one of five classes, those being Triple-A (AAA), Double-A (AA), Class A (Single-A or A), Class A Short Season, and Rookie. Furthermore, Class A is further subdivided into Class A Advanced, and Class A. So, FCS football would be equilevant to Triple-A (AAA), and you go down the ranks from there to Division III - maybe even adding NAIA & Junior College thus making up one big, happy family.
