If they get a bid to the Big 12, they will have a really nice stadium for their Big 12 conference mates to help fill.

And that's the point, invest to get to the B-12 & then fill it up with your real traditional rivals coming in.

I doesn't matter what happens with Liberty Stadium, the bigxii will not offer Memphis membership. However they do enjoy yanking our chain.

There are investments that need to be made that we have consistently been slow to make. Its hard to say they’re yanking our chain when we stop short of making the commitment others are eager to make.

Plus AT&T STADIUM seats 80,000 and Ford Stadium seats 32,000. It would look even worse as far as empty seats if SMU played in Arlington. SMU would be adding 48,000 more empty seats. Not a good idea.

That chain is a short leash in case the Big XII loses a few more schools.
