OT: Watching USFL Generals @ Stallions (UAB Protective Stadium)
UAB will play in a beautiful stadium when they Join the AAC, it looks so much better than any of the photos that I had seen... Great Stadium

It's a nice one, for sure... it seats 47,000, but it somehow seems a 'cozy' 47,000... I think just being in massive, cavernous Legion Field (70,000-ish) all these years kinda skews relative perspective... We need more parking (at least one deck is in the works), as it is adjacent to our civic center - they also had some comedy concert there at the 15,000 seat coliseum/arena tonight, as well as a baseball exhibition (Bananas? Sorta like the Globetrotters of baseball, I think) at Rickwood Field... great to see lots of happenings in the Ham, tho...
I have heard lots of grumbling about concessions - it's the ol' "hard to find workers" syndrome, it appears... maybe by '23 that will get a bit more stable. BTW, Go Stallions!

I remember long time ago in the Orange Bowl, concessions were manned by school groups and they got a % of sales. Maybe they need to go back to that

That's how it is done at Legion Field. They have restaurant concessions at Protective.

They have a guy who does a full split when he's at the plate... Strike zone goes from the dirt to like a foot and a half high...

There’s a lot of truth to this. This stadium is just incredibly well designed and easy on the eyes. I wish UH would have built this in 2014 instead of our stadium but I guess TDECU is growing on me

Well at least you have the attendance record in the stadium you wish you built.

And… even though ECU never won there, at least they scored 6 TDs in TD:ECU
