Rahne gets a COVID year also.

Would say it's well deserved. I do wonder if his contract has the "auto extend 1 year every year" clause tho. In any case he's shown he's more than capable and hopefully he can earn an even more substantial extension this year.

He's a hire that you know is a good one.

Everyone around the program seems to like him too, including most people on here. But, we all know that can change pretty quickly. I hope he continues to build and stays a long time.

Harry uploaded a picture of RR and Brent Pry together yesterday at Norfolk Marriott on his Instagram. Why in the world is VTs HC in Norfolk with our HC? My guess is to continue taking our coaches and players. Instead of competing with Pitt, Clemson, and Florida State to be a national power, VT is competing with a G5 school that is not. I find it hilarious they are scared of us. UVA cancelled a Baseball game because of a beat down headed their way. According to them, they cancelled to game due to rain showers lololol!

I think you are being a bit dramatic. It was a Norfolk Sports Club Forum which also included the head coaches of Norfolk State and UVa.

As far as the baseball game being cancelled, that is a bush league move IMO. Typically games are cancelled for rain on the day of the game, after waiting it out a bit. That cancellation is not good PR for Cavalier Baseball as a good amount of their fans were looking for a nice evening at Harbor Park being able to watch their team play in their back yards

Yall realize that we recently cancelled a weekday game because of weather a day before as well, right? UVA is not scared of a beatdown from us. They dont want to drive down and sit through a rain delay for a mid-week game.

I don't think fans realize how often coaches (and players) interact with each other....especially Rahne and Pry, who are probably really good friends. We "host" coaches on our campus all the time (the reason why Rahne was hired, for example).

Pry is not allowed to recruit our players, if he does, it is a recruiting violation. And he most certainly is competing with other P5s.

When do Power 5 ever get in trouble for violating rules?
UNC was supposed to lose its university status for the ish they did with the academic fraud!

HCs are career minded professionals. Always good to cultivate connections. You can hate them one day out of the year, after that, who knows. That other HC might be your ticket to bigger and better things.
