I guess you haven't looked at the attendance numbers. This past season (4,533) was the 2nd best (behind 4,771 in '18-'19) in the last 6 season fans could attend. So not sure what attendance "drop" you are talking about.
Place is a third full for most games
My BS meter exploded would agree with Half full but a third is BS. I was there for all but 1 game this past season.

Eh, I'd go with a third also. Put everyone together, no seats between... I don't think it was going to fill one side of the stadium. Not close. Maybe next season they'll try that. Announce everyone fill up one side. Hope it doesn't tip over.
Thanks for not agreeing makes me feel better about my estimate.

Why would attendance drop for a team that has won 28 of their last 31 home games?

More to do with change in social habits than team performance. Something that needs to be reversed. Social dissolution can't be good in the long run.

Go to Rocket games, it's good for the country! I should be in marketing.

RE: Mens BBall 2022-23 Schedule Thread
still looking for 1 more "P6" game in December. the only realistic options remaining are

Virginia, needs 1 more Dec game
Providence, needs 3 Nov/Dec games
Michigan St, needs 1 more Dec game
Alabama, needs 2 more (likely) Dec games
Arkansas, needs 2 more games, but prob Nov
Kentucky, needs 3 more Nov/Dec games
Ga Tech, needs 2 Dec games
OK St., needs 3 more Nov/Dec games
and while not P6, still a national name and good program, SMU, needs 3 Nov/Dec games
some other good programs, that are also not P6 but might come into play, looking to fill games are La Tech, Loyola, Tulsa and Davidson.

everyone else has completed their schedule, does not have an opening that could correspond w a UT opening, or is too far West

Only kind of related to this, but I just saw today that Oklahoma State is playing at Oakland this year.

Just keep waiting and maybe all the others drop off I guess

Apparently we have up on the power 5 game hope. I see Lourdes was added to the schedule. Oh well I guess that’s better than playing a 300rpi team

Stomping feet for a P5 school got us nothing. Maybe just aim for a quality opponent. Playing Lourdes is good for community but not much else

Dec 29 Lourdes University in Savage Hall. Interesting, on the Lourdes website that game is listed as an exhibition.

"On Dec. 29, the Gray Wolves will travel down the street to the University of Toledo, a NCAA Division I foe. The game will be an exhibition for Lourdes while it will count as a regular season contest for the Rockets."

The Lourdes roster includes Joey Holifield from Stritch and Jordan Lauf's brother Brett Lauf

non-D1 teams are allowed to declare 1 or 2 (I forget) games against D1 opponents as exhibitions, even if the game is not an exhibition for the D1 opponent.
