Looking at these matchups I wouldn’t be totally shocked if the American had a winning record over ACC, Big 10, and Big 12. I don’t see three of those teams coming off with a win against those SEC matchups though. Also, Temple vs. Duke is going to be a rough game to watch. Can both teams lose?

Temple is in 100% rebuild mode after 3 years of the worst coach we ever had. (At Temple, that is saying a lot) I expect to win 2-4 games max this year, but will be looking for improvement, cohesion, and direction forward. I don’t know anything about Duke football, but I doubt we win.

As far as individual OOC schedules, I would rank the top 5 as:
1. USF
2. Navy
3. SMU
4. ECU
5. UCF

I don't know Boss Man, but with ECU you got probably a little low. Opener against NC State who's projected as high as preseason no. 8 with whats considered the best LB group in the nation then travel 3/4's of the country to play at BYU who won ten games last year. At least tougher than SMU.

AAC Out of Conference Schedules
Houston’s OOC consists entirely of their future conference mates (2) plus your future conference mates (2).

Agreed, ECU / SMU was the hardest duo to rank. That UNT game for SMU is NOT a gimme, as MEMPHIS will find out as well.

I like how the Pirates schedule a good number of P5 opponents: Michigan, WFU, NC State, BYU (Yes, I consider the Cougars P5). Plus Boise State.

Three games in Texas and one in Kansas… I like it.

With UCF playing usf in Tampa this year, its a rare chance to have 9 games in the state of Florida. UCF will only leave the state to play at Tulane, Memphis and ECU.

So playing Indiana and at Arkansas is just child's play.

Going to Fayetteville and taking on the Hogs is no joke. Arkansas has a lot of momentum coming into this season after finishing 9-4 last year and beating Penn State in the Outback Bowl by two TDs. Arkansas fans love HC Sam Pittman.

But have to balance against an Indiana squad that turned back into Indiana last year . In fact, I bet Arkansas does the same thing this year and reverts back to Arkansas. There are probably 7 wins between the two of them this year.

ODU also made a bowl game last year and basically returns everyone.

Can you imagine a bowl game there, also, although I want to see a NY6 game instead.
