The Germans make some good white wines, Rieslings, Gewurtztraminer, etc. Excellent with Apple Strudel.

If anyone wants to come up, that is Oktoberfest weekend in Minster, Ohio. We had a fantastic time as hundreds of Bearcat fans gathered under one of the beer tents last year and watched UC take down Notre Dame. I am sure there will be a crowd, albeit a bit smaller doing the same this year. Here can have a designated Bearcat Banter gathering that day. Come on up to Minster and enjoy a good time before, during and after the game.

That sounds great. I love Oktoberfests. One year i tried to go to all the ones Cincinnati offers.. starting with the one closest where i grew up.. at Germania Park on Kemper road in Cincinnati.

We will definitely have to discuss this more this fall.

RE: Group meetup in the fall
I would love to have some visitors up here for Gameday. My daughters (both UC grads) usually have about 10-15 guest staying at out house, which is 0.2 miles from the festivities. Last year we had a mighty party during the Notre Dame game.

Love to have any UC fans meet in the park or at out house. My wife makes lots of soups and deserts for anyone who stops by. Just two rules: 1) No coupling in our house among unmarried peoples, and 2) No throwing up in the house. Use the yard behind the garage. My son-in-law thought he could drink two gallons of beer his first year here. He needed to follow rule #2 after we took his last half gallon jug away from him.

That sounds great. Alot of times my availability depends on my wifes work schedule. . I could always bring my daughter she is only 9 but has seen plenty of drunk people before (I just have decided to rarely drink in front of her anymore, or at least not to excess)

Sorry somehow doubleposted my previous post
