Is he the starter at Memphis? If so, they got a weak running back grouo5

This is ridiculous. He was a FIRST TEAM freshman All-American and MAC freshman of the year. He ran for just under 1,200 yards as a freshman. If you don’t like the guy, that is fine, but, to imply that he isn’t a very good player makes no sense. We will be just fine, as we have several high quality options, but, he had a tremendous year for us.

WTF!!! Are you kidding me? This has just ruined my weekend. Now, I will need a strong drink (or two) to calm myself down!

I didn't say he sucked, he would be third team on NIU. Waylee would have put up huge numbers if not hurt.

Maybe, maybe not on Waylee…..….availability is extremely important. Talent sitting on the bench is worthless. And, you certainly said that if Ducker was their starter that their other running backs comprised a weak group. Also, I never claimed you said he sucked.

Imagine if Waylee or Brown played in all of the games. Rumor has it Toledo was going to relinquish one of their recruiting trophys! COGS

All 3 backs would have eclipsed 1,500 yards as the primary back with a full season. They are all very different backs with different strengths. Ducker will do fine with Memphis. Waylee and Brown will crush this season.

RE: Jay Ducker still talking about NIU
Klake and Squirrel are right on. Ducker ran for 85 yards in the first 6 games last year before gashing BGU for 200+ in game 7. Everyone on this board went nuts. Last 8 games including BGU he ran for 1,100 yards. 1,100! Don't remember too many on this board being disappointed with that. Give him starts in the first 6 games minus Michigan (because everyone sucked in that game), and he might have run for 1,700-1,800 yards. The kid's good. He'd be good again this year for NIU. But he's obviously a prima donna with a huge ego who insulted his coaches, teammates, and us, his fans, big time when he left. And he keeps doing it. So let's quit disparaging his abilities because we sound ridiculous and focus on his lame personality if we have to post anything about him at all. Looking forward to watching Waylee, Brown and Blakemore in 2022, because they're still Huskies, and the heck with what Ducker's doing or saying.

He said Memphis' King Cotton is far better than Chicago's Vienna Beef. King Cotton has better facilities and didn't lie about how good he was.

Jay Ducker still talking about NIU
I read somewhere that Jay said that the Memphis fans are much better than Huskie fans because the Memphis fans never lied about their loyalty to him. I feel so ashamed now.

If it makes him feel better I always thought he was worse than Waylee and brown.

According to this article Ducker is second string as a Tail Back. It also lists 3 running backs. Sounds like he is in competition with five other players. Could he have been promised to be the starter?

Pretty soon we’ll hear Ducker say that the Memphis coaches lied to him.

If you click on his link, it shows him in his Huskies jersey. Is he hedging his bets?

RE: Jay Ducker still talking about NIU
Let it play out---his quote was that Memphis is RBU (running back university). Five of last six are playing in the NFL per what he said. If he's on an NFL roster in four years---you are all wrong here and he is right. I'm pretty sure at that point none of us will care nor remember about this thread.

Four years from now this thread will still be going on.
